Afternoon Autumn Apple Scones

1 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour

21/4 tsp. baking powder

1 TBSP. honey

1/2 tsp. salt

Cut into the ingredients until the butter is of the size of a small pea:

1/4 cup butter

Beat in separate bowl:

2 eggs

Reserve 2 TBSP of the mixture. Add to the remainder and beat:

1/2 cup cream

Make a well in the dry ingredients. Pour the liquid into it. combine with a few swift strokes. Handle the dough as little as possible. Pat until 3/4 inch thick. Cut with a knief into any shape.

Add about 3/4 cup chopped apples

Bake in a pre-heated oven at 450 for 15 minutes.
